stop motion analysis:

Project reserch;
Big Boom, Big Bang; this is probably one of the biggest stop motion projects ever made it involves not your typical paper drawings or figer movements but transforms the art and uses cars pipes buildings and architechture to create a truely mesmerising piece and with a video of almost 10 minutes theres no doubt the effor put into this was phenominal not a hair or line out of place. the individual qwalitys throughout such as the water from the pipe or the car being a monster realy brought the piece together and was amazing how everyday objects can create such a realistic effect when posed as something else.

Lotte Reiniger - The Adventures of Prince Achmed
out of the realy old pieces this stood out for me, it have several elements that i found both intresting and powerful especialy for that time. i particularly liked the fact the whole piece was made from sand being so detailed you can tell they took alot of time when makeing it and the whole sequence of coloures and motions realy came together and blended well to fit the asian inspired theme. my favourite part overall of the piece was the sequence with the old man and his hands you can realy apreciate the time taken to make the piece especialy getting the figure perfect each time. there wasnt much that i disliked about the piece other than the cocrall piece i started to get lost oof the theme and didnt realy see relevance to the whole performance.

Tim Burtons Vincent;
this is a typical tim burton piece happy yet very dark and spooky and lways an element of crazyness. the audio rhymes used throuout work better than just a silent motion and realy set the scene(i would like to use adion in my work) yet this is made from models as it is more recent than older. Burton uses techniques like this throuout his older movies and does it to a very high standered. the models are very precise and can produce a veriety of facial expretion relative to thos a real life humn would make in the situation the model is in. This gothic theme provides and intersiting and elaberate set makeing the piece realistic yet far fetched. Its not untill you stufy the piece and watch it several times you start to notice the details such as hair and shadows through the piece that also set the scene. A piece like this relay set the standered for stop motion especialy in that period of time and i would like to use the elements like shadow audio and natural themes to make the piece not your typical stop motion project.
